Watermark rings and stains
Tide lines are separated from facial shadows and clothing folds. We do not simply paint over a stain with skin colour.

WATER-DAMAGED PHOTO RESTORATION
Watermark rings, stuck prints, mould spots and cracked emulsion do not have to be the end of a family photograph. We assess the original image, rebuild only what can be supported by evidence, and show you the digital restoration before payment.
WHAT CAN BE IMPROVED
A photograph that has been wet may have tide marks on the surface, mould inside the paper, stuck emulsion or a wave in the print. A restoration should deal with those problems individually rather than blurring the whole face.
Tide lines are separated from facial shadows and clothing folds. We do not simply paint over a stain with skin colour.
Lost detail is rebuilt from surrounding structure and, when available, a second reference photo. If the evidence is not there, we say so.
Yellowing, foxing and dark spots are reduced while keeping the age and character of the original print.
FIRST STEP
Do not pull apart photographs that are stuck together. If the print is still damp, keep it flat and let it dry naturally away from direct heat. Photograph or scan the print as clearly as you can without forcing it open.
Send the highest-resolution file available and tell us what you remember about the original clothing, hair or setting. That information helps the artist make careful decisions rather than inventing detail.
QUESTIONS
Often, yes. The result depends on how much of the image survives and whether the damage has broken the facial structure. We assess the file before quoting the work.
Yes. We can preserve period grain, paper texture and a natural vintage tone instead of producing a plastic, over-sharpened face.
No. We deliver print-ready digital files. You can arrange local printing or framing if you want a physical copy.
