The eyes and expression
We study the shape of the eyes, the catchlights, the direction of the gaze and the small asymmetries that made your pet recognisable. The aim is likeness, not a generic perfect animal.

PET MEMORIAL PORTRAIT
A gentle, hand-finished digital portrait for a dog, cat or other beloved companion. We work from the photograph you already have, preserve the features you remember, and let you see the finished artwork before you pay.
A GENTLE WAY TO REMEMBER
A memorial portrait is not about making a pet look younger or replacing the truth of the photograph. It is about giving a clear, dignified image to the expression you want to keep.
We study the shape of the eyes, the catchlights, the direction of the gaze and the small asymmetries that made your pet recognisable. The aim is likeness, not a generic perfect animal.
Fur direction, ear set, muzzle shape, white markings and old scars can all matter. Send several photos if you have them, especially one clear front-facing image.
Choose a quiet classical background, a favourite garden feel or a symbolic rainbow bridge setting. We keep the composition restrained rather than sentimental.
SOURCE PHOTO GUIDANCE
Use the clearest original file you have, not a screenshot from social media. If your pet has passed away and you only have an old phone photo, send it anyway; we will tell you honestly what can be recovered.
For the strongest likeness, include one front-facing photo with open eyes, one side view and one full-body photo if available. Tell us the pet's name, personality and any detail that must remain, such as a clipped ear, a distinctive collar or a white patch.
We do not require a professional camera. Natural light, a clean image and a clear face are more useful than a highly filtered portrait.
HOW IT WORKS
You see a watermarked digital preview first. If the expression or detail needs adjustment, request a revision. You only pay when the artwork feels right.
QUESTIONS
Often, yes, but the result depends on how much facial information remains. We will assess the image first and explain the limits before starting.
Yes. Send a clear reference photo of the item and tell us where it should appear. We keep personal details recognisable rather than adding decorative props that were not part of your pet's life.
No. This is a digital portrait. You receive high-resolution files for personal use and can arrange local printing or framing separately if you choose.
Yes. Many clients commission a memorial portrait for a family member or friend. We can keep the wording in the delivery message gentle and personal.
